His Great Contributions

He resigned from the Civil Service to work full-time for the PAP,becoming a key member and later vice-chairman of its Central Executive Committee. The following year, he contested the Kreta Ayer seat, and joined the first goverment of Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew as Minister for Finance. Upon the independence of Singapore in1965, DR Goh became the nation's first Minister for the Interior Defence and after that the Minister of Education. Dr Goh played a key row in Singapore's development, his loyalty knows no bounds. God Bless to one of the Founding Fathers of Singapore.

A Breif History about him

Dr Goh Keng Seng was the Second Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore between 1973 and 1984, and a Member of Parliament for the Kreta Ayer constituency for a quarter of a century! He was norn in Malacca into a Peranakan family, and moved to Singapore at two years old. He was educated at Raffles College and the London School of Economics and Political Science. Developing an interest for politics from fellow students from British Malaya in London, which set him upon his career as a politician.
